KUALA LUMPUR: Palm Spring Development Sdn Bhd (PSD), a subsidiary of Tanco Holdings Bhd (Tanco), is looking to promote investment in Port Dickson by offering purchasers assured rental returns for its upcoming serviced suites.

“Splash Park serviced suites offer an attractive investment opportunity in assured rental returns of up to 7% per annum for nine years,” said Datuk Seri Utama Mohammad Hasan at the ground breaking ceremony of Splash Park on Monday.

The Splash Park Suites have an estimated gross development value (GDV) of RM480 million and will comprise 830 units. The average selling price is RM800 per sq ft. All units are fully furnished with built-ups from 340 sq ft to 675 sq ft.

Splash Park Suites is part of the Splash Park water theme project that will also feature an eight-acre (3.2ha) water theme park and a 250-room hotel. The entire Splash Park project has an estimated GDV of RM600 million. It is set to be developed on a 23-acre parcel of freehold land, and is expected to be operational by next year.

Mohammad said that Splash Park is aimed at serving as a key attraction for tourists, both local and international. “While Port Dickson has done well in establishing itself as a holiday destination for locals, we hope that Splash Park can help increase Port Dickson’s profile as a vacation destination for international tourists.”

Tanco group managing director Datuk Seri Tony Tan added that PSD has engaged Impiana Hotels and Resorts Management Sdn Bhd to manage and operate Splash Park Suites.

The company also appointed internationally acclaimed The Sanderson Group to design, build and establish the operations of the water theme park at Splash Park.

Splash Park will be complemented by other facilities that are already in place such as the Kelab Golf Diraja Palm Springs, Club Village and Extreme Park.

It will also feature other components in the development such as an international destination-based spa retreat village, a wellness zone and a marina and duty-free shopping outlet.

Splash Park is set to be the largest theme park in Port Dickson and Negeri Sembilan. The project is a component within the 400-acre Palm Springs Resort City.
