KUALA LUMPUR: Gandingan Erajuta Sdn Bhd announced that it will be developing an international hotel with Starwood Hotels and Resorts in 1Likas, Kota Kinabalu. The 234-room hotel is Four Points by Sheraton, a sister brand by Sheraton Hotels.

"The proposed Four Points by Sheraton at 1Likas will have 234 rooms. Because of its prime seafront location, we intend to add value and prestige to the property by securing a hotel that is a renowned global brand. The possibility of having a resort style hotel at 1Likas with beach type swimming pool is being proposed," Izaddeen Daud, executive director of Gandingan Erajuta, said in a press release.

Sagajuta (Sabah) Sdn Bhd has been appointed the turnkey contractor for 1Likas. The development is accessible and visible from the coastal road of Jalan Tun Fuad Stephens with views of the Likas Bay.

1Likas is a mixed development with shops /offices, corporate office block and two condominium towers. Later phases of the development will include a super condominium tower and the hotel tower.

Starwood is one of the world's leading hotel and leisure company with renowned brands under its belt such as Westin, Le Meridien and Sheraton.
