KUALA LUMPUR: International figures in economics and real estate and local panellists will meet here in October to discuss the opportunities that arise from the real estate and global economic slump, and solutions to the crisis.

The FIABCI-Malaysia Global Summit 2009, themed Reviving the Economy through Real Estate Growth, will feature four keynote speakers from Europe, the United States of America (USA) and China.

They are former deputy executive secretary to the United Nationas Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) in Geneva Professor Paolo Garonna, China chief representative for the Economist group and director of advisory services for China’s Economic Intelligence Unit Steven Xu Sitao, founder and managing editor of Property Finance Europe and Property Investor Europe Allan Saunderson and former financial market advisor to the President of the USA Dr Phillipa Malmgren.

The two main subjects during the summit are Crisis is an Opportunity and Revival Solutions, which will be discussed by four Malaysian panellists and the keynote speakers. It will be held on October 3. More information is available on the website www.fiabci.com.my.

“This is a good platform for us to learn how to manage our assets in time of such crisis and to arm with the necessary to handle such recurrence storms,” said organising chairman and FIABCI Malaysia and Asia Pacific honorary treasurer Yeow Thit Sang.
