JOHOR BARU: Tebrau Teguh Bhd is currently in discussions with local and international property players to jointly develop strategic waterfront tracts sprawled across 400ha of the Tebrau-Plentong river basin here.

This is part of the Tebrau Coast Masterplan, which will see the creation of five new precincts — Tebrau River City Hub, Molek Landing, Plentong Cove, Tebrau Waterfront City and Tebrau Riverwalk — as the company moves towards high-end property development. The waterfront project will be developed over the next 10 to 15 years, the company said in a statement yesterday.

The company’s first high-end property development, Botanika, got off to a roaring start when all of its luxury apartment units were snapped up within two hours of the sales launch last Saturday. Botanika comprises three high-rise waterfront residential towers on a 4.8ha site offering 792 units when fully completed. The project is being developed by Tebrau Teguh via its wholly-owned subsidiary Bayou Bay Development Sdn Bhd.
