KUALA LUMPUR (Aug 27): KGV International Property Consultants executive director Samuel Tan is urging property investors to invest in locations where the proposed High Speed Rail (HSR) stations are to be located before property and land prices surge further.

Speaking during his presentation "Hot spots along the alignment: Where are the opportunities?" at TheEdgeProperty.com’s “Symposium on Kuala Lumpur-Singapore High Speed Rail 2016” themed “Where to invest — Don’t miss the boat!” today, Ho pointed out that the HSR is expected to attract 17.6 million potential users and the number is poised to increase at a pace of 2.9% per annum to about 24 million in 10 years.

“It is important to have an overview of Kuala Lumpur’s secondary market to see how prices are moving in the various areas and the different characteristics that these areas possess before investors can decide on where to place their bets. Of course, it also depends on how we expect the market to move,” he added.

KUALA LUMPUR (Aug 24): Malaysian Government-owned MyHSR Corp Sdn Bhd said it will appoint "reference design consultants (RDCs)", who will oversee preliminary work for the planned Kuala Lumpur-Singapore High Speed Rail (HSR) project.

KUALA LUMPUR (Aug 19): Alignments and station locations for the Kuala Lumpur-Singapore high-speed rail (HSR) project are yet to be finalised, except for the location of HSR Terminus in Kuala Lumpur, which is Bandar Malaysia, said MyHSR Corp Sdn Bhd.

The HSR, which will have a terminus in Bandar Malaysia and six intermediate stations in Putrajaya, Seremban, Ayer Keroh, Muar, Batu Pahat and Iskandar Puteri, will be one of the most significant influences on the Kuala Lumpur property market in 20 years, Savills Malaysia executive chairman Christopher Boyd told TheEdgeProperty.com.

PETALING JAYA (Aug 18): MyHSR Corp Sdn Bhd is currently working with the Malaysian federal and state governments and authorities to determine the best locations for the Kuala Lumpur-Singapore High Speed Rail (HSR) stations.
