INTEREST in the Kuala Lumpur-Singapore High Speed Rail (HSR) project is growing even as the two governments iron out the details. Besides Asian rail-related companies, their European counterparts are keen to participate in the cross-border project as well.

KUALA LUMPUR: Both the Malaysian and Singaporean governments have come to a consensus on the alignment of the 330km high-speed rail (HSR) linking Kuala Lumpur to Singapore, and have decided on two services, one being a direct service linking Kuala Lumpur to the island republic, and another with transit stops in between.

KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 7): Debt laden 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB) may soon be closing its final deal on the 60% stake of Bandar Malaysia’s project to remove its debt burden, according to a news report.

In a joint statement today, Malaysia's Land Public Transport Commission (SPAD) and Singapore's Land Transport Authority (LTA) said these companies and consortia came from across the HSR value chain.
