More specifically, MoH director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said the ministry needs more anesthesiologists and nurses with specialized experience in intensive care to help attend increasing numbers of COVID-19 patients who are required to be placed in intensive care units (ICU).

"Nonetheless, we are prepared for the worst," he said.
The collaboration is to facilitate the research on a novel antiviral drug called Remdesivir, which, according to Dr Noor Hisham, has been identified as a possible medicine to treat COVID-19 patients.
This comes as Malaysia just reported four new fatalities from the illness since yesterday noon, which has pushed the death toll to 23, out of a total of 2,031 positive cases so far.
The victim was patient No 780, a Malaysian male aged 76 who had attended the Tabligh assembly at the Sri Petaling Mosque.
It also calls on the government to allocate RM75 billion more to cushion virus' impact.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, LBS Bina said Tan Sri Dr Lim Wee Chai bought the shares via direct business transactions between March 19 and 24 at 32 sen apiece or RM33 million.
The estimate includes super-regional malls, regional malls, neighbourhood malls, premium outlets, and shops that are allowed to stay open during this period, and excludes stand-alone hypermarket centres or supermarket centres in the street.
"The authorisation by the FDA for the test kits is in addition to the European CE mark, which certifies conformity with health, safety, and environmental protection standards obtained earlier."
This applies to private companies that have been approved as "essential services" and are allowed to continue to operate during MCO.
