No death was reported for 25 days in a row. Thus, Malaysia’s Covid-19 death toll remains at 121, representing 1.39% of total cases.
The last case in this cluster was reported on June 11, involving a student from the Philippines who attended a tahfiz school in Sungai Lui, Hulu Langat, Selangor.
And with no new fatalities reported, the death toll remained at 121 — unchanged for the 24th day in a row — representing 1.39% of total infections.
It is the sixth consecutive day that the number of active cases remained under 100.
The number of active cases fell to 71 today — the lowest since the start of the Movement Control Order (MCO) period — with patients already isolated and given treatment.
“We will not swab (take a swab of) everyone; we will only swab those who have symptoms.”
This is the fifth straight day Malaysia has experienced a single-digit number of new infections since June 29.
Of the three new cases today, two were local transmissions involving foreigners while one was a Malaysian who was infected while overseas, according to the Ministry of Health’s (MoH) director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.
