Selva Mookiah will take the stand to testify about the time he accompanied Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission officers to Riyadh in late November 2015 as part of an investigation into the RM2.6 billion from 1Malaysia Development Bhd that had allegedly entered into the accounts of then prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Abdul Razak.

The application by Tengku Adnan's lawyer Datuk Tan Hock Chuan has to do with Tengku Adnan tendering documents for his asset declaration.

“As far as I can recall, I did not suggest to the prime minister to open any accounts at AmBank, also at this time I don’t know what and how many accounts the PM had at AmBank at that time. I didn’t know that Nik Faisal was authorised to manage the prime minister’s account.”

Najib said this is due to support from Bersatu, Umno, PAS and GPS.

Typically, an MACC investigating officer would interview a witness and draft a statement based on his or her responses.

Mohd Nasharudin Amir, who is MACC’s assistant commissioner, told the High Court that an article in a bulletin published by the Islamic Development Department (Jakim) stated that Jamil Khir was in fact addressing a gathering in Putrajaya on that day.

Last week, Najib's lawyer Tan Sri Muhammad Shafee Abdullah informed the court that Latheefa would be subpoenaed and asked to testify as a defence witness. 

Pakatan Harapan, who is led by Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, last night released a released a list of 115 MPs — including himself — backing him as prime minister. However, two MPs in the list — Bukit Gantang MP Datuk Syed Abu Hussin Hafiz Syed Abdul Fasal and Sri Aman MP Masir Kujat — have come out to deny backing Dr Mahathir, instead saying they support Muhyiddin.

The officer, Mohd Nasharudin Amir, also testified that the admission did not come from the Saudi royal but his legal representative.

Testifying in the SRC trial, Datuk Rosman Abdullah told Justice Mohd Nazlan Mohd Ghazali that Jho Low had informed him that RM27 million out of the RM170 million would go into an AmPrivate Banking 1MY account, which he later learned belonged to Najib.
