Published by The Centre, the survey titled “MCO and Mental Well-being: Home Sweet Home?” involves 1,084 respondents across the nation and aims to understand how living conditions during the MCO has impacted their mental well-being.

The last time the number of daily infections exceeded the number of cured cases was on April 21, with 57 new infections against 54 cured cases.

The updated ruling was published under the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases (Measures within Infected Local Areas) (No. 4) Regulations 2020 which take effect from April 29 to May 12, and signed off by Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Adham Baba.

Notably, the country is continuing its trend of double digits in daily infections for 12th consecutive days.

Active cases in the country continued to fall, this time to 1,764 — the lowest since March 27, with the patients isolated and given treatment.

The 16 new cases in the capital were part of the total 38 reported yesterday.

The number of patients discharged for the day was 121. The country has been reporting a higher number of recoveries compared to new cases since the start of the third phase of the movement control order on April 15.

Based on the MoH’s statistics, most of the active cases were in the Lembah Pantai district, where there were 210 active cases and 670 cumulative infections.

This is the seventh consecutive day that Malaysia’s new Covid-19 cases are in the double digits, and is the eighth time since the Movement Control Order (MCO) started on March 18.

More than half of active cases are in Lembah Pantai, which covers several parts of the downtown areas. There were 273 cases in Lembah Pantai, according to the Health Ministry.
