MTD enters sale and leaseback agreement for its two properties for RM175 million

KUALA LUMPUR: MTD Capital Bhd (MTD) on Nov 5 announced its sale and leaseback agreement with Haluan Gigih Sdn Bhd (HGSB) for its two properties in Selayang, Gombak in Selangor and Damansara Heights in Kuala Lumpur for RM70 million and RM105 million, respectively. HGSB is a wholly owned subsidiary of Alloy Consolidated Sdn Bhd, a major shareholder of MTD.

Sunrise 1Q net profit up 24% to RM37.3m

KUALA LUMPUR: Sunrise Bhd's net profit rose 24% to RM37.3 million from RM30.2 million a year ago as earnings were sustained by progress billings for its ongoing developments. The company said today that pre-tax profit rose 17% to RM50.2 million from RM42.8 million while revenue was RM190.3 million compared with RM198.2 million a year ago.

Redevelopment of Atria Damansara pending market study

KUALA LUMPUR: OSK Property Holdings Bhd, the company tasked with the redevelopment of the Atria Shopping Centre in Damansara Jaya is going back to the drawing board.

The developer is working closely with a team of estate agents and consultants to examine market needs and conditions before deciding on concrete plans for the site, according to a source with OSK Property.

WCT, Iskandar Investment unit in RM600m venture

KUALA LUMPUR: WCT Bhd and Iskandar Investment Bhd will jointly develop and co-own 1Medini, the first residential development in Medini which has a gross development value of RM600 million.The companies said on Wednesday, Oct 28 1Medini, when completed by 2015, would comprise of 1,332 units of condominium, a 68,800 sq ft commercial area for local retail businesses.
