Protasco eyes more revenue from other segments

KUALA LUMPUR: Protasco Bhd expects contribution from its construction and property development segments to increase by 10% to 20% respectively of the group’s revenue this year, said its executive vice-chairman and group managing director Datuk Seri Chong Ket Pen.

Ivory Properties to pay RM7.66m on third instalment extension

KUALA LUMPUR: Ivory Properties Group Bhd will incur a higher rate of 8% per annum, or RM7.66 million, in its third instalment payment for land it bought in Penang, after being granted an extension of six months to pay up by Penang Development Corp (PDC).

In-depth audit on cost of klia2

SEPANG: The government will conduct an audit to address claims that the cost of building klia2 has ballooned to over RM4 billion, said Acting Transport Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein.

He said getting the new low-cost carrier terminal up and running was the priority earlier, but now that it is operational the government will look into what has led to the cost increase.

Sg Buloh-Kajang MRT Line 45.6% completed

KUALA LUMPUR: Mass Rapid Transit Corp Sdn Bhd (MRT Corp), which yesterday awarded five more contracts worth RM519.5 million for the Klang Valley MRT project, said the 51km Sungai Buloh-Kajang Line is 45.6% completed, leaving 11 work packages to be awarded.

AmFIRST REIT looks to purchase two more properties

KUALA LUMPUR: AmFIRST Real Estate Investment Trust (AmFIRST REIT) is exploring the purchase of two medium-sized properties, with a value of up to RM250 million collectively, said Panneer Selvam, head of investment at Am ARA REIT Managers Sdn Bhd, the manager of AmFIRST REIT.
