• “Our clients can be assured of our professional work ethics as we follow the laws, rules, and standards set by BOVAEAP.”
  • “We have the support system to make sure our clients are satisfied with our services and their properties sell faster.”

KUALA LUMPUR (March 29): Buying or selling a property is a big financial milestone for most people. Hence, having someone who can guide you along the way will provide heaps of comfort and assurance.

Landsworth Properties Sdn Bhd (Landsworth) hopes to play that role for you.

“Our clients can be assured of our professional work ethics as we follow the laws, rules, and standards set by BOVAEAP (Board of Valuers, Appraisers, Estate Agents and Property Managers). We have the support system to make sure our clients are satisfied with our services and their properties sell faster,” says head of agency, Ahmad Hilal Alias.

But those are not the only strengths of Landsworth.

“At Landsworth, we have a good relationship with our leaders. We support each other and work together to achieve the agency's mission and vision,” says Ahmad Hilal.

“The agency system also supports agent development. We pay our agents’ commissions within 24 hours of their claims. Agents and leaders can monitor their performance through the system,” he adds.

“Our support staff also plays an effective role in backing our agents and agency.”

‘Give them support first, and then they will support you in turn’

Landsworth is still a young company, having started operations only in 2020, and Ahmad Hilal was the man responsible for setting up the company.

So, what have been the challenges in building up a new real estate company?

“The challenges are many, especially when you are dealing with humans. To earn support from your leaders and team, you must give them support first, and then they will support you in turn,” he elaborates.

“You also need to catch up with the latest technology and systems so that you remain relevant in this market,” he adds.

He also has to make sure all of Landsworth’s operations are in tip-top shape while supporting the agency leaders to achieve their targets.

Currently, the company has two registered offices, in Kajang, Selangor and Kota Bharu, Kelantan.

“We also provide work space to our agents in Setia Alam, Selangor; Taman Melawati, Kuala Lumpur; and Kuantan, Pahang,” he says.

Building the bumiputera market

Ahmad Hilal is determined to take Landsworth higher.

“I believe we can go far. We focus on creating quality leaders in this market and then implement the latest system so that we can give value to our agents. Three years into our road map, we target to achieve RM1 billion in sales, and we are very near to achieving it.”

One of his aims is also to build the bumiputera market and he feels that education plays a big role in this.

“A lot of bumiputeras are afraid to buy properties. They are afraid to buy the wrong properties and end up regretting their decisions,” he explains.

“Our role is to educate them on how to buy the right properties and go through the journey of buying properties together.”

EdgeProp can assist in achieving goals

Landsworth recently signed a memorandum of understanding to work together with EdgeProp.

“We can see how EdgeProp can add value to our agents, and with the latest technology and system, we believe EdgeProp can assist us in achieving our short- and long-term goals,” says Ahmad Hilal.

EdgeProp business development head Nimalen Parimalam says he is very optimistic about Landsworth.

“Landsworth may be a newish player but we see great potential, both in the company and out tie-up with it,” says Nimalen, adding that EdgeProp’s platform could give Landsworth’s agents greater exposure and equip them with more up-to-date data about the market.
