KUALA LUMPUR (Aug 19): STACK Infrastructure, a leading digital infrastructure company from the United States, is set to develop a hyperscale data centre campus in Iskandar Puteri, Johor Bahru, with an estimated value of RM7 billion.

Investment, Trade and Industry Minister Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Abdul Aziz (pictured) said the project is expected to generate numerous job opportunities and drive the digital economy.

“This investment not only enhances Malaysia’s position as a leading data centre hub in Southeast Asia, but also aligned with our national agenda to achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2050,” he said via X on Tuesday.

He added that the project emphasises sustainability and complies with the Guidelines for Sustainable Development of Data Centres that have been introduced.
