KUALA LUMPUR: Amanah Harta Tanah PNB (AHP) has disposed off three parcels of land totaling 467.64 sq m (0.12 acres) in Pahang, Perlis and Kedah, together with the shopoffice units erected on the parcels to Permodalan Nasional Bhd (PNB) for a total RM2.01 million.

Pelaburan Hartanah Nasional Bhd, the manager of AHP said in separate filings to Bursa Malaysia on March 4 that the disposals are in line with its objective to restructure the portfolio of AHP, enhance the value of assets and provide attractive returns to unit holders.

“The proceeds from the disposal shall be utilized to part finance the cost of upgrading and refurbishment of another property owned by AHP, namely Plaza VADS in Taman Tun Dr Ismail, Kuala Lumpur.  The upgrading and refurbishment of Plaza VADS is targeted to commence in the third quarter this year,” it added.

The freehold property in Pahang is an intermediate 3½-storey terraced shop house along Jalan Tun Ismail in Kuantan with a built-up of 461.18 sq m (about 4,970 sq ft) and land size of 148.64 sq m (about 1,600 sq ft). It was sold at RM960,000.

The acquisition cost of this property in November 1995 was RM1.058 million.

Meanwhile, the leasehold property in Perlis is an intermediate 3-storey terraced shop office along Jalan Indera Kayangan in Kangar. The fully-tenanted property, which was sold at RM550,000, has a built-up area of 334.45 sq m (about 3,600 sq ft) and land size of 112 sq m (about 1205 sq ft). It was acquired in November 2000 at RM449,000.

The freehold property in Kedah, which located at Kompleks Shahab Perdana in Alor Setar is an intermediate 3- storey terraced shop office along Jalan Sultanah. The fully-tenanted building on a 207-sq-m land (about 2,228 sq ft) has a built-up area of 451.79 sq m (about 4,860 sq ft). It was acquired in September 2001 at RM445,000.
