KUALA LUMPUR: The RM270 million Axis Pandan urban redevelopment, the maiden project of RK Group Holdings (M) Sdn Bhd, will be completed by year-end, says group managing director Datuk Roslan Khalid.

Having a total development area of 1.8 million sq ft, Axis Pandan, a three-phase project comprising a retail mall, service apartment, condominium and small office home units (SoHu), is set to be a significant landmark in Pandan and Ampang areas, he said.

"We came up with the idea in 2004 and started construction in 2006. We designed, build and manage the whole project on our own," he said at the launch of the RM75 million 218,000 sq ft Axis Atrium Mall.

Axis Atrium Mall is the first phase of the project, followed by a 33-storey Axis Residence Tower, a 2-storey duplex Axis SoHu and a 41-storey Axis Crown Condominium.

Axis Residence Tower and Axis SoHu will be completed in two to three months while Axis Crown by year-end," he said.

Roslan said 384 apartment units, 348 condominium units and 154 SoHu units have been sold out.

"To date, we have achieved 70% occupancy rate for the mall. Once the retailers fully renovate and furnish the shoplots, we will do a soft launch," he added. -- Bernama
