KUALA LUMPUR: Bina Puri Holdings Bhd has raised its unbuilt order book to RM1.93 billion after it secured a RM247.84 million contract to build a fishery complex in Kuching, Sarawak.

In an announcement to Bursa Malaysia yesterday, Bina Puri said the contract was secured by its wholly-owned subsidiary, Bina Puri Construction Sdn Bhd, from concessionaires Blessed Builders Sdn Bhd and Pangkalan Ikan Central Sdn Bhd (PIC).

Bina Puri Construction will undertake various works, including piling and building; mechanical and electrical; civil and infrastructure; and marina, landscaping, signage and furniture for the concessionaires.

The commencement date of the contract will be after the financial close between PIC and its financier has been determined. The duration of the project will be 36 months, and it is not expected to have any material effect on the net assets and earnings of the group for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2014.
