KUALA LUMPUR: Centrestage — a RM500 million mixed commercial development in Section 13, Petaling Jaya — is targeted for launch at the end of February, said a spokesman from developer Cherish Springs Sdn Bhd.

Demolition works of the EON Service Centre currently occupying the 3.66-acre leasehold site have begun, and the project is scheduled for completion by mid-2014, he told theedgeproperty.com. The land has been converted from industrial to commercial use.

Centrestage comprises 352 units of serviced suites, two office towers of 11-storeys and 14-storeys each and five levels of shops.

The project is aiming for a Green Building Index (GBI) certification. The serviced suites will be serviced by the Inspiration Group.

According to the spokesman, the suites will come in two sizes pending approvals.

Meanwhile, the office towers offering 775 units will cover a total gross floor area (GFA) of 446,035 sq ft and offer a net lettable area (NLA) of 312,225 sq ft. The retail space will comprise 33 units, with a total GFA of 171,797 sq ft and NLA of 120,258 sq ft.

"The company hasn't decided whether to keep some units for recurring income," he said.

The indicative pricing for the office and retail units are RM700 psf and RM1,100 psf respectively. The company has not decided on prices for the serviced suites yet, said the spokesman.

Situated in the industrial area of Section 13, the building is close to commercial developments Jaya One and Jaya 33, as well as Digital Mall in Section 14.
