KUALA LUMPUR: Cyberjaya, Malaysia's first and foremost cybercity, has won the BrandLaureate Award 2009-2010 for the Best Brand in Corporate Branding under the National Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Hub category, for the third consecutive year.

Sdn Bhd said the success clearly portrayed its achievements as Malaysia's first global Multimedia Super Corridor (MSC) Cybercity hub.

The BrandLaureate Awards, also known as the "Grammy Awards for Branding" recognises the best brands from Malaysia and the Asia-Pacific.

"Over 500 companies has chosen Cyberjaya as the home of their preferred business, outsourcing services and solutions development location.

"This includes globally-recognised names like Shell, Nokia and BMW," said Ir. Hafidz Hashim, managing director of Cyberview.

"Cyberjaya is more than just a technology park or business centre. It is fast becoming a thriving community incorporating education, investment and business based on ICT and the knowledge economy.

"It is home not only to large multinationals but also a fast-growing cluster of small-medium enterprises in our SME Technopreneur Centres," he highlighted. -- Bernama
