KUALA LUMPUR: Gabungan AQRS Bhd, a construction services provider and property developer, is currently tendering for construction projects worth more than RM1 billion.

Chief executive officer Ng Chun Kooi said the group hopes to strengthen its current order book of RM1.9 billion further by actively participating in the tender for numerous high-impact construction projects nationwide.

“We aim to scale up our construction operations to have an ongoing order book of more than RM2 billion at any one time.

“Over the years, we have built a solid portfolio of wide-ranging projects and sizes in the construction industry. With years of experience, it gives us an edge in securing some of these projects we are tendering for,” he said in a statement yesterday.

Some of the group’s ongoing construction projects include the high-profile Klang Valley Mass Rapid Transit, road enhancement works in Negeri Sembilan, and the Tropicana Metropark in Subang Jaya, which will keep it busy until 2016.

Ng said moving forward, the company has stepped up marketing efforts to enhance the take-up rate of its ongoing property projects in the Klang Valley and Iskandar.

He believes that with the competitive pricing and strategic location, the projects will continue to be well-received. — Bernama
