MELAKA: Hatten Group Sdn Bhd is presently working on the development of several new projects in Melaka, including Ivory Cove Resort, Hatten Melaka and Double Tree by Hilton. The total gross development value of its portfolio is more than RM3 billion.
"We are still acquiring new landbank to develop future commercial and residential projects and our current order book has been filled, up to 2020. The unique thing about Hatten Group is that we are big on developing hospitality and retail properties.
"We are committed to building integrated and sustainable cities to boost tourism and urbanisation, which leads to a growing economy," said group managing director Colin Tan (pic) in a statement recently.
Hatten is looking to expand its presence outside Melaka city, by acquiring land in Ayer Keroh and Pulau Melaka in Melaka, Ipoh in Perak and Raub, Pahang.
"We strive to transform the urban landscape in and around the region. That apart, we are also creating synergies with international developers, as part of our long-term plans to expand internationally," Tan said.
The developer was commended at the Asia-Pacific Property Awards 2013/14 for the interior design and planning of its developments, such as Dataran Pahlawan Melaka Megamall, Silver Scape, Elements Mall, [email protected] City and Imperio Residence.
"As a fairly young developer which started in Melaka only 10 years ago, this recognition from the awards committee will spur us to do better in future," said Tan.
Hatten Group was established in 2008. It is involved in property development, property management and investment. Existing developments include Hatten Square suites and shops, and Hatten Hotel in Melaka.
