JOHOR BARU (Feb 29): Property developer Hua Yang Bhd will launch three new projects with total gross development value (GDV) of RM550 million here this year and next.

Chief Financial Officer May Chan said the Taman Pulai Hijauan project, comprising 1,400 double-storey terrace and semi-detached houses, would commence in April while the Polo Park project -- 28 semi-detached units and three bungalows in September.

The company would also launch Jalan Abdul Samad apartments next year, she told reporters during a luncheon here today.
She said the Polo Park project, on five acres of freehold land near JB Sentral and the Customs, Immigration and Quarantine Complex (CIQ), was targeted at young local and Singaporean professionals.

The Jalan Abdul Samad apartments were also targeted at young local and Singaporean professionals in view of its proximity with the CIQ and Johor Baru city centre, she said.

Chan said Hua Yang that was established 33 years ago and had launched property projects worth RM1.38 billion in Johor, Perak dan Kuala Lumpur, was looking to expand its landbank.

"We are constantly on the lookout for land in strategic areas with development potential," she said. Presently, the company has 787 acres of land with GDV reaching RM2.4 billion.

Its ongoing projects include Taman Pulai Indah in Johor, Symphony Heights and One South in Kuala Lumpur, the Senawang Link in Negeri Sembilan and Bandar Universiti Seri Iskandar in Perak.-- Bernama
