MELAKA: Former Deputy Higher Education Minister Datuk Idris Haron has been appointed chairman of Syarikat Perumahan Negara Berhad (SPNB) with effect from April 1, taking over from Datuk Azian Osman.
Idris, who is the Member of Parliament for Tangga Batu, told reporters on Friday April 9 that SPNB was in the process of expediting applications for affordable houses, besides eliminating bureaucratic red-tape. -- Bernama
