Mah Sing Group wins 'Best of Asia" at Corporate Governance Recognition Awards 2011

KUALA LUMPUR: Property developer Mah Sing Group Bhd has been named The Best of Asia at the 7th Corporate Governance Asia Recognition Awards 2011, whilst its group managing director Tan Sri Leong Hoy Kum won the Asian Corporate Director Recognition Awards 2011.

"We are committed to ensuring high standards of disclosure and transparency, and we are honoured by these awards which had recognized these efforts," said Leong in a statement on Friday, July 8.

He said Mah Sing places high priority in ensuring good governance in all areas of their operation with appropriate controls.

Criteria for The Best of Asia include previous publicly-acclaimed track records for corporate governance, disclosure, transparency and investor relations practices. Meanwhile, the Asian Corporate Director Recognition Awards 2011 recognises the winner's contribution towards a company's business growth, social responsibility, environmental protection and raising corporate governance practice standards in the country.
