KUALA LUMPUR: Bertazzoni LaGermania range cookers has made its debut in Malaysia. In true Italian glamour, a lavish introduction was held last Friday, July 1 at the Archidex 11 in the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.

Leading appliances purveyor Pacifica Appliances is the exclusive distributor for Bertazzoni in Malaysia. Archidex is an annual four-day exhibition of the latest in architecture, interior design and the building industry.

Pacifica Appliances managing director John Cho thinks that Malaysian consumers of the affluent segment "have all been waiting for a very long time for a big brand name like Bertazzoni LaGermania to come along to shake things up". He adds that the target market will appreciate the sleek design that is the Italian label's signature.

"Each individual item [embodies] the passion, precision and unique culinary traditions the company was founded upon," says Bertazzoni SpA Asia regional manager Graziano Soliani. Bertazzoni's tag line reads: "For people who know how to cook".

Bertazzoni kitchen appliances hail from Emilia-Romagna, Italy. Founded in the late 19th century by current owner Paolo Bertazzoni's second great-grandfather, Francesco Bertazzoni, the brand is known to have combined culinary craft and engineering skills to perfect their prestigious range cookers.

Bertazzoni kitchen products include the Bertazzoni Americana, Bertazzoni Heritage and Bertazzoni Professional series.
