Primarc’s Fields of Gold

PETALING JAYA: Primarc Development (M) Sdn Bhd’s residential development in Rawang in Selangor, Fields of Gold, was launched yesterday and 50% has been booked.

“This is considered the flagship project for Primarc. With Primarc, I want to create something different. Which is why any project under Primarc would be exclusive. Once a project is done, you can’t get the same unit again. We will design something entirely different after that,” said managing director Primus Lim (pic) at the launch.

The development, which Primarc calls one of a kind in Malaysia, will offer 53 four-storey designer boutique homes with built-ups of more than 4,000 sq ft. The gross development value of the project is RM117 million and each unit is priced between RM2.1 million and RM2.5 million.

The project covers 6.75 acres (2.73ha) of terra-formed land within the township of Rawang as well as 1.5 acres of landscaped park.

The unit comes with five bedrooms, five bathrooms, a utility room, a designated lounge area, and a basement convertible garage that can accommodate up to four cars. Other facilities include state-of-the-art amenities and technology to safeguard residents, including an app that allows only homeowners to give access to visitors.

“Instead of registering someone at the guardhouse, the person calls the homeowner/resident who will give the visitor the password for the house,” said Lim.

The development creates a four-season environment via the planting of seasonal trees in the park.

“We divided the area into five zones. Each zone will have a specific tree. Cherry blossoms for spring, willows for summer, eucalyptus trees for autumn, white berry trees for winter and rustic pine trees reminiscent of the highlands” said Lim.

“This is the result of a two-year research. I visited different countries with my team of designers to collect data and understand the seasons better. After much discussion with horticulturists and botanists, we managed to find trees that can be planted in Malaysia. We also made sure that these trees do not require high maintenance or constant attention,” he said.

According to Lim, the inspiration behind the project is to bring back the beauty of owning a home.

“When people buy houses now, it’s all about how much is it per sq foot. I want to bring back the romanticism and wonder of purchasing a home, especially your first one.”

Prior to Fields of Gold, Lim has developed Mahkota Square, the RM110 million commercial project in Bandar Mahkota Cheras under Cosmic G Sdn Bhd, an associate company he created. Lim also co-founded Montauk Homes LLC at Long Island New York.

The park will feature trees of the four seasons; spring, summer, autumn and winter.
