PUTRAJAYA: Putrajaya's outlook is set to become more vibrant from commercial activities, said Putrajaya Holdings (PjH) director and chief executive officer, Datuk Azlan Abdul Karim.

He also said Putrajaya's vibrancy in the near future comes with the completion of the commercial development there.

Azlan was speaking during an exclusive media tour of Putrajaya conducted by PjH.

The tour included a sneak preview of the next exciting development phases of Malaysia's federal administrative capital.

"In respect of commercial development, the focus is on corporate office buildings, hotel development as well as mixed and retail development," he said.

He also highlighted that the heart of the city would eventually comprise office towers, business suites, a high street retail complex, hotels, educational institutions as well as recreational and entertainment centres.

"Through aggressive marketing efforts, PjH is looking to attract business owners and investors who favour a well-planned city with top security features, sophisticated transport and telecommunications systems, along with a serene environment," Azlan explained.

He said all the PjH projects are carried out by master developers, making it prestigious, sustainable and innovative with aesthetics in harmony with a well-protected environment.

"Putrajaya is not just for government servants but for the nation. It is expected that in the next few years, Putrajaya is set to become more than just a government city, as it accelerates the pace of residential and commercial development.

"This will eventually create a sustainable living and working environment, on par with other planned administrative cities in the world." he added.

Azlan also said this vision is based on a long term and dynamic business plan which aims to create and sustain the local economy. — Bernama
