KUALA LUMPUR: Sunway City (SunCity) on Friday, May 20 nabbed the Top Property Developer award at the inaugural BCI Awards. This is the first year for the top ten property developer category since the inception of the BCI Asia Top 10 Architects Awards.

SunCity property development managing director Ho Hon Sang said that the coveted Award recognises SunCity's commitment to driving a positive impact on the region's built environment.

"At Sunway City, we challenge ourselves to reflect the rapid technological advancement in the innovation of the design of our buildings, but above that, we also challenge ourselves to create developments that emphasize livability," he added.

The developer launched last year Sunway Damansara's Rymba Hills' Zero-lot Bungalows and Nexis' premier retail and office suites with a combined gross development value of RM464 million. It also launched Sunway South Quay's lakeside A'Marine condominium within Sunway Integrated Resort City, and Sunway SPK Damansara's SPK3 Harmoni townhouses.

SunCity recently injected eight prime investment properties into Sunway Real Estate Investment Trust (SunREIT), which has the largest market capitalisation compared to other REIT counters.
