Taiwan’s first Marriott Hotel opens

TAIPEI (Nov 5): The Taipei Marriott Hotel, a new five-star luxury establishment with 320 luxury guest rooms and suites, five distinct restaurants and a spa, has opened in the heart of the city.

Located in the Dazhi district, along the north bank of the Keelung River, Taipei Marriott Hotel is 10 minutes away from Songshan International Airport. It also enables its guests to explore nearby attractions such as the Mt Jiannan Trail, the national palace museum and the Miramar shopping centre.

The hotel is also close a shopping and dining arcade as well as a convention centre, all of which are surrounded by a lush landscape.

It also provides a panoramic view of the New Year’s Eve fireworks display.

Marriott International Inc is a lodging company based in the US, with more than 4,200 properties in 80 countries and revenues of nearly US$14 billion (RM60.34 billion) as of 2014.
