Tata Housing Development NRI IndiaKUALA LUMPUR (July 29): Indian real estate company Tata Housing Development Co Ltd opened its international office in Dubai the United Arab Emirates on July 26 to cater to non-resident Indians (NRIs).

The company aims to meet the growing demand from consumers in the region and to strengthen its global presence with the Dubai office, in addition to existing international offices in Maldives and Sri Lanka.

“With the opening of our Dubai office, the company will reach out to non-resident Indians who constitute more than 30% of the population in the UAE," said CEO and managing director Brotin Banerjee. "The Gulf market has witnessed rapid strides in the past decade with Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) contributing to more than 50% of our international sales. Opening this office in Dubai reaffirms our commitment to this important market and will enable us to provide support to our increasing number of customers from the UAE.” 

To celebrate the opening, Tata Housing has announced a limited period offer scheme where an NRI customer will get 72,000 to 1 million JetPrivilege Miles on the purchase of a home across Tata Housing projects in India. The offer is applicable to any customer living outside of India with a valid non-resident Indian status including Indian passport holders, those having valid work permits outside India and green card holders.

“Currently, NRIs contribute between 15% and 20% of our total sales and this has been increasing in the last few years. We expect this to increase to 25% to 30% in the next three to four years,” Brotin added.

Tata Housing is developing townships and theme-based projects in all consumer segments, offering value to luxury housing with products ranging from Rs 12 lakhs to Rs 14 crores. Currently expanding its footprints to other tier I and II cities across India, the company also has projects in Mumbai, Lonavala, Talegaon, Pune, Ahmedabad, Goa, Gurgaon, Chandigarh, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata and Bhubaneswar.
