ISTANBUL: A multinational consortium, in which Turkish construction firm Enka owns a 38.4 percent share, signed a contract to build the new terminal building at Muscat International Airport, Turkey's news agency,
Anadolu, quoted Enka as saying on Wednesday, Feb 23.

In October 2010, Oman awarded the construction of a US$1.8 billion project to build the new terminal building of the airport to a joint venture of United States engineering firm Bechtel, Turkish construction firm Enka and local company Bahwan Contracting.

In a statement sent to Istanbul Stock Exchange, Enka said that the contract has been approved by Oman's authorities on Wednesday.

Enka said the project will be completed in 38 months. - Bernama
