KUALA LUMPUR: Areas in the vicinity of Klang, Shah Alam and Kuala Langat will face water supply disruptions on Feb 26 due to the relocation of water mains by housing developers following the implementation of housing development projects there.

There will be supply disruptions from 9pm on Feb 26 until 9am the following day in the Klang and Shah Alam areas — namely in Jalan Susur, Persiaran Raja Muda Musa, Taman Telok Gadong Besar, Kampung Delik Kanan, Kampung Delik Kiri, Kampung Delik Dalam, Kampung Delik Baru, Kampung Sungai Udang, Jalan Sungai Bertik, Jalan Teluk Pulai, Jalan Teluk Gadung Kecil, and Jalan Tepi Sungai, according to Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Syabas) in a statement, here on Thursday, Feb 10.

Other areas affected wll be Jalan Raya Barat, Kampung Raja Uda, Taman Petaling, Taman Selatan, Taman Chi Liung, Taman Palm Groove, Taman Klang Jaya, Taman Desawan, Taman Desa Utama, Jalan Tun Sambathan, Flat Perumahan Teluk Gadong Indah A and Kampung Pandamar.

Persiaran Raja Muda Musa, Jalan Tengku Badar, Jalan Kastam, Pandamaran, Pandamaran Jaya, Jalan Kem, South Port, Taman Sri Andalas, Taman Jalan Raja Nong, Jalan Seruling 59, Jalan Istana, Jalan Limau, Taman Sentosa, Jalan Tun Razak, Jalan Uganda, Taman Menara Maju, Jalan Sungai Jati, Jalan Raja Jumaat, Jalan Langat, Jalan Lombong, Kampung Batu 7 and Jalan Kebun.

Kampung Johan Setia, Jalan Johan Setia, Taman Setia, Taman Johan Setia, Jalan Klang-Banting, Berjaya Park, Pulau Indah Fasa 1, Pulau Indah Fasa 2, Kampung Pulau Indah, Taman Terminal Star Cruise, Jalan Batu Unjur, Jalan Kim Chuan, Taman Kim Chuan, Taman Botanic 2, Industri Mega Hub, Taman Kota Permai, Bandar Botanic, Bandar Bukit Tinggi and Flat Pendamar Indah.

Meanwhile, the areas in Kuala Langat that will be affected are Sijangkang, Kampung Medan, Telok Panglima Garang and Kebun Baru.

In a separate statement, Syabas also announced that the Ikobana Corporation Sdn Bhd was not an official agent to receive water bill payments for the company, and any payment made by consumers using the shop was under the consumers' own responsibility.

"Syabas wishes to emphasise that payment of water bills should only be made at Syabas counters at the nearest Regional office or collection agents appointed by Syabas to avoid any problem," the statement added. — Bernama
