KUALA LUMPUR: Property developer WCT Land Sdn Bhd, a wholly owned subsidiary of WCT Berhad, is scheduled to open its first hotel in Bandar Bukit Tinggi, Klang.

This hotel is WCT's first, and would be managed by the company.

According to a statement by the developer on Monday, June 28, the hotel is currently under construction and scheduled to open on Oct 10, 2010 and will carry the brand name Première.

The hotel will offer 250 rooms, including suites in a 22-storey white tower. Disabled-friendly rooms, smoking rooms and interconnected rooms are also available.

There would also be six versatile function rooms and a pillarless 1,250 sq m ballroom with a capacity of 1,500 persons for a cocktail reception and 880 persons for banquet, all equipped with the latest technology.

"WCT has a 30-year successful track record in civil engineering, building & infrastructure construction, property development of the highest standards, property investment and management and toll highway concession," said WCT's executive director, Choe Kai Keong.

"With the development of our first hotel, we have found an opportunity to leverage our expertise and apply it to the hospitality industry. We are convinced that the hotel will prove an ideal destination for business visitors and tourists alike," he added.

The opening of the business-class hotel will look to complement the adjacent BBT One Towers and Boulevard - which are office towers and a retail boulevard respectively -- completing the Bukit Tinggi township's existing facilities and amenities, which are anchored by the AEON Bukit Tinggi Shopping Centre.

Its location is accessible via major city roads, a 30-minute drive from Kuala Lumpur International Airport and a 45-minute drive from Kuala Lumpur City Centre.
