KUALA LUMPUR: More than 5,000 registrants have signed up to attend the preview of YTL Land & Development Bhd’s Midfields 2 at Starhill Gallery in the city centre this weekend.

Midfields 2 is a 9.26-acre (3.75ha) condominium project in Jalan Besi Kawi, off Lebuhraya Sungai Besi. The leasehold development comprises three 21-storey blocks with 792 units. Sizes range from 1,044 sq ft to 2,176 sq ft, with prices starting from RM499,000.

The project is the final phase of YTL’s Midfield development and commands a gross development value of RM350 million.

The new development draws on the success of the original Midfields, enhancing the tropical resort atmosphere with small parks and 4.8 acres of landscaping, YTL Land executive director Datuk Yeoh Seok Kian said in a statement recently.

“There has been tremendous interest in Midfields 2 with more than 5,000 registrants. This proves a competitively priced product in the right location is always attractive to genuine home buyers. Consumers can look to our strong track record of delivering high capital appreciation on all our properties, maximising value for our purchasers,” he said.

Facilities include a futsal court, badminton court, squash court, swimming pools, gymnasium, barbecue pit, multipurpose room and rooftop gardens.

Since its launch in 2009, Midfields properties have enjoyed capital appreciation of more than 100%, fetching more than RM500 per sq ft (psf) from its original launch price of RM250 psf.

Midfields is located along the convergence of three major highways — the Maju Expressway, Federal Highway and Besraya highway — and is only eight minutes’ drive to Mid Valley and 15 minutes to the Kuala Lumpur city centre.

The new high-speed rail project will further add to the attractiveness of Midfields 2, said YTL.
