Integrated construction and property firm PTT Synergy Group Bhd (PTTS) has diversified into the warehouse leasing business as it seeks alternative sources of revenue from recurring income properties.

Lion Industries Corp Bhd’s proposed RM92.03 million land disposal announced on Sunday has raised questions from Bursa Securities.

IGB Bhd’s net profit more than doubled to RM112.04 million in the second quarter ended June 30, 2023 (2QFY2023), from RM49.79 million a year earlier, on the back of a higher revenue and increased forex gains. Earnings per share rose to 8.30 sen, from 3.68 sen.

Chin Hin Group Bhd posted a 43.18% drop in its net profit to RM21.87 million for the second quarter ended June 30, 2023 (2QFY2023), from RM38.49 million a year earlier, amid a lower fair value gain on other investment.

Berjaya Land Bhd (BLand) returned to the black with a net profit of RM148.8 million for the year ended June 30, 2023 (FY2023) on the back of higher revenue, after three consecutive years of losses.

Magna Prima Bhd is acquiring the remaining 30% stake in Magna Ecocity Sdn Bhd for a cash consideration of RM45.58 million.

Chin Hin Group Property Bhd saw its net profit risen 91 times to RM5.83 million in the second quarter ended June 30, 2023 (2QFY2023), from RM64,000 a year ago, due mainly to higher work progress of the construction projects.

Quarterly revenue declined by 8.52% to RM375.39 million, from RM410.37 million a year earlier.

Profit before tax of its property development segment dropped 47.9% to RM37 million in 2QFY2023, from RM71.07 million a year ago as revenue for the segment fell 31.4% to RM159.98 million, from RM233.08 million previously. 

Property developer GuocoLand (Malaysia) Bhd’s net profit fell 33.6% to RM15.8 million or 2.36 sen per share in its fourth quarter ended June 30, 2023 (4QFY2023) from RM23.79 million or 3.55 sen per share a year earlier, mainly due to lower contribution from its property development division.
