The MRB chairman claimed he has “concrete evidence” including pictures and documents showing the EPF knew about the land sale in 2010 for RM1.5 billion, below the market price.
The by-election will be held on Jan 26.
"This trend is pressuring average room rates to continue to be very low in Kuala Lumpur compared with other regional cities. Short term stays have to be regulated to curb oversupply of accommodation in the hospitality and tourism industries," said its executive director Low Su Ming.
This is in line with its plan to grow global assets under management to S$100 billion.
It is a replacement holiday for the Yang Di-Pertuan Agong’s birthday which falls on the previous day (Sunday, Sept 9), which is already a holiday being the weekly rest day, except for the four states.
As at end-June, the group’s property sales had already exceeded half of the year’s target.
"The group remains prudent in its sales and GDV (gross development value) targets of RM1.2 billion and RM1.0 billion respectively.
