Malaysia today reported 1,212 new Covid-19 cases, pushing total confirmed infections in the country to 65,697, according to the Ministry of Health (MoH).
About 6,526 people living in the area have been screened so far.
Meanwhile, daily recoveries climbed to a fresh record high of 2,555 — the second consecutive day that recoveries surpass new infections.
Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said about 11,215 Top Glove workers have been identified by the ministry for Covid-19 screening.
So far, a total of 339 clusters have been reported by the Ministry of Health.
Bringing the number of active cases down slightly to 12,971 from 14,353 reported yesterday.
There are a total of 12,079 positive Covid-19 cases confirmed at workplace-related clusters, involving 4,398 Malaysians and 7,681 foreigners.
To date, some 5,777 individuals in the cluster have been screened, and 4,036 positive cases have been detected so far.
