KUALA LUMPUR: Kumpulan Jetson Bhd posted higher revenue of RM52.82 million in the 1Q ended March 31, 2010, compared with RM25.09 million in the previous corresponding quarter, representing an increase of 110.52%.

Accordingly, the group’s profit before tax increased to RM1.06 million from a loss before tax of RM765,000 for the respective periods.

KUALA LUMPUR: PJ Development Holdings Bhd’s net profit jumped 41.3% to RM9.105 million in 3Q ended March 31, 2010, from a net loss of RM1.772 million in the same quarter last year.

Revenue increased 7.84% to RM143.816 million from RM133.351 million previously.

KUALA LUMPUR: Plenitude Bhd’s net profit eased by 29.3% to RM21.714 million in the 3Q ended March 31, 2010, compared with RM30.709 million in the same period last year.

Revenue declined by 33.2% to RM74.801 million in the quarter under review from RM112.002 million over the same quarter last year.

SHAH ALAM: Selangor civil servants who own low-cost housing units in the state will be called up for questioning, said Selangor Menteri Besar Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim.

"If we find that they are ineligible to own the units and there are elements of abuse, severe action will be taken against them.

KUALA LUMPUR: Bina Puri Holdings Bhd has appointed Datuk Ir Wong Foon Meng as its new chairman.

Wong, 56, has a degree in Mechanical Engineering (Hons) from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM).

He served the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment in various positions for 13 years before leaving to become a consulting engineer.

KUALA LUMPUR: Housing loan provider Malaysia Building Society Malaysia (MBSB) recorded a 644% increase in net profit to RM43.197 million in its 1Q ended March 31, 2010, compared with RM5.803 million in the same period last year.

Its pre-tax profit jumped 341% to RM43.179 million in the quarter under review compared with RM9.789 million in the same quarter last year.

KUALA LUMPUR: YTL Corp Bhd announced a 120.4% growth in revenue to RM11.786 billion for the nine months ended March 31, 2010, compared with RM5.349 billion for the preceding corresponding period ended March 31, 2009.
