Hua Yang to expand on Penang mainland with RM800m GDV projects

Hua Yang Bhd plans to expand its presence on Penang mainland by launching another three projects with an estimated combined gross development value (GDV) of RM800 million in the next three years, according to its assistant general manager Tony Ng.

Profit of S$2.15 million at High Point

On March 17, a 2,885 sq ft unit at High Point in prime District 9 was sold at a S$2.15 million (RM6.78 million) profit. The seller bought it at S$1.85 million, or S$641 psf, in January 2003 and sold it at S$4 million, or S$1,386 psf. The profit works out to 116%, or 6% a year over 14 years.

YTL Corp reorganises holdings in YTL Majestic

YTL Corp Bhd announced that its subsidiary YTL Land Sdn Bhd has disposed of all its holdings in YTL Majestic Hotel Sdn Bhd to YTL Hotels & Properties Sdn Bhd (YTLHP) as part of an internal reorganisation of the group's structure.

RAM: Residential property market to remain sluggish this year

"Nonetheless, the availability of affordable housing has been gathering momentum. Depending on the speed of the roll-out of homes under the 1Malaysia People's Housing Programme, RAM estimates that the new, more accessible end-financing scheme for PR1MA units could contribute about 1–2 percentage points to the banking system's overall loan growth over the next two years," the local rating agency said in a statement today.

Ekovest up 2.21% on land acquisitions
