MIDF Research uprades IGB REIT to Buy, raises target to RM1.46

KUALA LUMPUR (March 26): MIDF Research has upgraded IGB REIT to “Buy” (from Neutral) with a higher target price of RM1.46 (from RM1.41) and said IGB REIT had the highest dividend growth among peers in FY14 due to good cost control.

MK Land declares 1 sen dividend for FY15

KUALA LUMPUR (Mar 25): Property developer MK Land Holdings Bhd has declared a first interim single tier dividend of 1 sen per share for the financial year ending June 30, 2015, to reward its shareholders.

In its filing with the bourse, MK Land (fundamental: 1.6; valuation: 3) said its shares will trade ex-dividend on April 7. The dividend is payable on April 23.

SYF mulls the acquisition of 7 pieces of freehold land for RM14m

KUALA LUMPUR (March 20): SYF Resources Bhd is mulling the acquisition of seven adjoining pieces of freehold agriculture land in Mukim Rompin, Negeri Sembilan for RM14 million, after it entered into a tenancy agreement with condition to purchase the assets.

E&O partners Mitsui to develop serviced apartments in KL

KUALA LUMPUR (Mar 20): Eastern & Oriental Bhd (E&O) announced that it is entering into a joint venture with Japan’s Mitsui Fudosan Co Ltd (Mitsui) to jointly develop a 298-unit serviced apartment project on a piece of freehold land in Kuala Lumpur.

E&O completes third London land acquisition

KUALA LUMPUR: Eastern & Oriental Bhd (E&O) on Monday completed an acquisition of 1.2 acres (0.48ha) of freehold land in West London within the Hammersmith commercial hub for a total of RM308.9 million (£57 million).

The site currently holds two existing connected properties, namely the 11-storey Thames Tower and 15-storey Landmark House, which were constructed in the 1960s.

Pessimistic outlook for property sector in 2015

KUALA LUMPUR: Developers’ are pessimistic on the outlook for the property market in the first half of 2015 (1H15) and the gloom is expected to deepen by 2H15,  the Real Estate and Housing Developers’ Association (Rehda) told a media briefing yesterday on its Property Industry Survey 2H14 report.
