Slight dip in HSL net profit for 1Q
KUALA LUMPUR: Sarawak-based Hock Seng Lee Bhd (HSL) has seen a slight dip in its net profit for the first quarter ended March 31 — to RM19.5 million due to the long Chinese New Year break.
Revenue was also 3% lower at RM135.1 million, compared with RM139.2 million a year ago.

Boustead 1Q earnings down 29% on lower CPO price
KUALA LUMPUR: Boustead Holdings Bhd’s net profit fell 29% to RM134 million for the first quarter (1Q) ended March 31, due to lower crude palm oil (CPO) prices from its plantation division.
Revenue, however, rose 4.1% year-on-year to RM2.5 billion during the quarter, the company said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia yesterday.
KLK 2Q earnings slip lower
KUALA LUMPUR: Kuala Lumpur Kepong Bhd’s net profit for the second quarter ended March 31 this year slipped 2.5% year-on-year to RM209.6 million while revenue fell 11.4% to RM2.23 billion due to lower profit contribution from the plantation segment.
