The firm, CNECC Engineering (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd (CEMSB), is engaged in building construction and project management, with its ultimate parent company being China Nuclear Industry HuaXing Construction Company Ltd.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the engineering and construction services provider said the contracts were awarded by Permas Jaya Sdn Bhd, Melia Spring Sdn Bhd and CJ Developments Sdn Bhd.
The Johor Bahru project, aimed at developing modern family-oriented homes and commercial units, is scheduled for completion in July 2027.
Looking ahead, the group said it remains optimistic on opportunities in the rail and infrastructure sector.
This development consists of a five-storey basement, a 10-storey podium, a 48-storey hotel and private residences (Tower 1) and a 56-storey serviced apartment (Tower 2).
SunCon did not disclose further details on the awarding party or the project locations.
Under the contract, the multinational corporation has the option, but not the obligation, to award the mechanical and engineering fit-out works to SCSB, subject to finalisation of the project contract.
The company will be working on Sydney Metro West stations in a contract valued at RM7.
The scope of works includes road and drainage construction, sewerage works, water reticulation and other ancillary works.
