BANGKOK (Aug 11): Best Western International will be introducing Best Western Plus Wanda Grand Hotel in northern Bangkok in the fourth quarter of this year.
“We expect that this stylish upscale hotel will become a magnet for corporate travellers due to its proximity to local businesses, government offices and Impact Mueang Thong Thani, which is Thailand’s biggest conference and events facility,” said Best Western International’s managing director of international operations Asia Olivier Berrivin in a press release yesterday.
Berrivin noted that Best Western Plus is located close to a series of key business and leisure destinations including the Thai government complex at Chaeng Wattana and the Central Chaeng Wattana shopping mall.
Best Western Plus Wanda Grand Hotel will offer 183 rooms and suites, which includes a range from superior to two-bedroom suites that are also targeted at extended stay guests.
All rooms will come equipped with amenities including flat-screen TVs with satellite channels, mini-bars and complimentary Wi-Fi.
For corporate and events markets, Best Western Plus Wanda Grand Hotel will also provide eight function rooms, including a 1,014 sq m (10,914.6 sq ft) banquet hall.
“Bangkok is a global city and Best Western is delighted to be expanding the number of accommodation options for all types of traveller to the city,” Berrivin said.
“The opening of the Best Western Plus Wanda Grand Hotel will mark a significant milestone in our development, and I look forward to welcoming our first guests to this excellent new upscale hotel later this year,” he added.
With the addition of the Best Western Plus Wanda Grand Hotel, Best Western will offer seven hotels in Bangkok, covering three of its brands: classic Best Western, upscale Best Western Plus and the luxurious Best Western Premier.
