KUALA LUMPUR: Faber Development Holdings’ RM138 million Armada Villa residential project in Taman Desa, Kuala Lumpur has been 70% sold with only the units allocated for Bumiputeras left.

The high-end project comprising semidees and bungalows was launched on the weekend of May 8 and 9.

Faber Development Holdings Sdn Bhd’s head of company Khalid Abdul Majib said the non-Bumiputera units were already 55% sold a month before the launch.

Khalid told theedgeproperty.com on Monday May10 that the freehold project comprising 40 semi-detached houses and six bungalows is a joint venture between Faber Group and Kuala Lumpur City Hall.

Armada Villa sits on a 5.6-acre site which is one of the last few tracts within the 358-acre Taman Desa enclave along Old Klang Road.

The construction of Armada Villa is expected to be completed within three years.

Khalid added that the group is looking forward to launch two more projects in the third quarter of 2010, namely Laman Rimbunan project in Kepong and a landed residential property project under phase 1A in Taman Danau Desa.

“There will be a total of 34 linked villas under the 1A project in Taman Danau Desa and that will be our last project in the Taman Desa area,” he added.

Faber has had a presence in Taman Desa for more than three decades, starting with its link houses and semidee bungalows, which were completed in 1979.
