KUALA LUMPUR (Mar 22): Mah Sing Group Bhd received three wins at the Asia Pacific Property Awards for both its residential and commercial projects: High Rise Architecture for Malaysia for its Icon Residence, Mont'Kiara; Office Development for Malaysia for Icon City, Petaling Jaya; and Commercial Redevelopment for Malaysia for Icon City, Petaling Jaya.

Mah Sing Group managing director cum group chief executive Tan Sri Leong Hoy Kum said, "This is the sixth consecutive year Mah Sing has swept awards from the Asia Pacific and International Property Awards."

He added that awards and certifications serve to recognise the groups' efforts, and encourage them to perform better. "We shall continue working hard to increase our customer satisfaction level, enhance value, looked after housebuyers' interest and up the ante on our product innovation."

Icon Residence Mont'Kiara is a low-density green development that boasts a unique Mediterranean feel, with a distinct design in each of its three towers. The entire development houses 260 units in total. The development in close proximity to the KL Metropolis, as well as the proposed MRT and LRT stations.

Icon City is an integrated mixed commercial development comprising shop offices, retail lots, small office versatile offices, serviced residences, retail mall, hotel, boutique offices and corporate office towers. The development is amongst the first in Southeast Asia to achieve three green standards — the USA Leadership in Energy and Environment Design (LEED), Malaysia's Green Building Index (GBI), and Singapore's Green Mark — for its various components.

Later this year, the highest scoring winners from the Asia Pacific Property Awards will compete against other winning companies from Europe, Africa, the Americas and Arabia to find the ultimate World's Best in each category. Last year, the Asia Pacific region had scooped an unbeaten total of 13 "World's Best" Awards.
