KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 6): New Zealand property developer Globe Holdings, via its international subsidiary Myland Partners, is offering Malaysian investors an opportunity to acquire and directly own land in New Zealand.

In a statement Dec 5, Myland said the Kingfisher at Great Lake Taupo was a premier waterfront residential development that not only provided investors a chance for attractive upside investment returns but also allow them to directly own land in New Zealand.

“In addition to being an attractive destination for overseas investment as there are no restrictions on foreign ownership, it is also considered a property friendly tax environment,” it said.

The company said other factors that would appeal about New Zealand to investors were the high levels of personal freedom, investor protection, lack of red tape and absence of corruption, all of which it said were validated in a recent Forbes magazine that identified New Zealand as the best country in the world for business.

Myland Partners director Farhad Moinfar said that with no capital gains tax, no stamp duty or property tax, New Zealand could not be matched in terms of returns for the savvy investor.

“With prices starting from as low as NZD112,000, investors can expect to see a significant growth on return on investment, especially with the registered valuation of this property having a discount of a remarkable 45%,” said Moinfar.

Moinfar said that Kingfisher was an ideal getaway location with a private lakeside setting.

Potential investors and holiday makers will not only appreciate the fresh air, snow capped mountain views, forests, river valleys and fishing for the best trout but the opportunity to design and build homes on a choice of one of the 30 lakefront plots or 45 lake view plots as well, said Moinfar.

“Titles are issued, and all infrastructure work and extensive communal facilities within the development are complete.

"We are extremely encouraged by the growing and strong interest in the New Zealand real estate market from investors around the region especially Malaysia. It is a sign of the growing economic strength of the local market and the resultant appetite for offshore investment," said Moinfar.

Myland said its unique approach in the marketing of this development, gave prospective buyers the opportunity to participate in a free private investment tour of the project and New Zealand, with Myland Partners providing airfares and accommodation for its clients, prior to entering into a Sale and Purchase Agreement.

“We have absolute confidence that once our prospective purchasers have visited the project, they will be able to make an informed decision in their international investment. We call this ‘fly before you buy’”, said Moinfar.

Myland Partners will be showcasing the Kingfisher project to interested investors at Mersawa Room and Meranti Room, Eastin Hotel PJ on December 8-9 from 10.30am-7pm.
