KUALA LUMPUR: Putrajaya Perdana Bhd saw an increase in pre-tax profit and revenue of RM30 million and RM1 million respectively, for FYE Dec 31, 2009, compared with the previous corresponding year. Its revenue rose to RM865.997 million while pre-tax profits increased to RM69.552 million.

According to its statement to Bursa Malaysia on Feb 22, the increases in revenue and pre-tax profit were mainly due to contributions from the two new subsidiaries acquired during the year. The two new subsidiaries are CMS Roads Sdn Bhd and CMS Pavement Tech Sdn Bhd, acquired in May 2009 from UBG Bhd.

The group’s q-o-q pre-tax profit for 4Q2009 recorded a jump to RM31 million compared to RM16 million for 4Q2008. It said the higher pre-tax profits were mainly due to contribution from construction activities and road maintenance works.
