KUALA LUMPUR: Sunway City Bhd's (SunCity) third phase of Sunway Merica in Penang — comprising of 12 exclusive units of 3-storey semi-detached (semi-D) houses — has received over 500 interested buyers since it opened for registration in mid-December 2010.
According to SunCity managing director for property development Ho Hon Sang, the interested buyers were both Malaysians and foreigners.
"There are only 12 units available with a built-up area of 3,972 sq ft and priced from RM1.5 million. The exclusive 3-storey semi-Ds are designed with a modern minimalist approach while maintaining the functional and conventional practicalities of a home. There is a private balcony and adjoining pavilion to the main master bedroom with an en-suite bathroom and a walk-in wardrobe, as well as a family area on the first floor," Ho told theedgeproperty.com recently.
Other features of the third phase include a seamless flow of space from the living hall, dining room and the kitchen. There are also wide windows for natural ventilation.
The freehold Sunway Merica, with a gross development value of RM88 million, sits on a 7.84-acre tract to be developed in three phases. Its first phase — comprising 49 units of 3-storey terraced houses — was launched in 4Q2009 from RM860,000, and is 60% sold.
The second phase — offering 37 units of 3-storey terraced houses — is 30% sold since its recent launch in the last quarter of 2010. They are tagged from RM877,500.
The terraced homes are designed with up to 5+1 rooms, inclusive of two master bedrooms.
