UEM Group chairman receives prestigious industry award

KUALA LUMPUR: UEM Group Bhd chairman Tan Sri Dr Ahmad Tajuddin Ali, was conferred the Prominent Player Award at the Malaysian Construction Industry Excellence Awards (MCIEA) 2009.

He received the prestigious award for enhancing the image of the national construction industry.

Works Minister Datuk Shaziman Abu Mansor, presented the award to Ahmad Tajuddin at a ceremony held at the CIDB Convention Centre in Kuala Lumpur on Dec 16.

Ahmad Tajuddin is on the board of Sime Darby Bhd and has served in Tenaga Nasional Bhd and Sirim Bhd.

The MCIEA Awards is an annual event organised by the Construction Industry Development Board Bhd (CIDB), a statutory body under the Works Ministry.

The MCIEA Awards aims to recognise individuals and organisations that have contributed and demonstrated excellence in enhancing the image, performance and improvement of the construction industry. – Bernama
