KUALA LUMPUR: Bukit Kiara Properties (BKP) won two awards at the Malaysia Landscape Architecture Awards (MLAA) in Kuching on April 29.

It won the “Project of the Year” for its Verve Suites Mont’Kiara development and the  “Excellence Award” in the Property Developer Category.

These awards were from the Institute of Landscape Architects Malaysia (ILAM), a professional body for landscape architects in Malaysia.

Verve Suites Mont’Kiara features four towers with individually themed sky lounges atop each tower.

“Each sky lounge features a different living concept, which complement each other,” said BKP group managing director Datuk NK Tong. “Residents can have access to the chill-out lounge, sky theatrette and viewing deck at Block A, private party and function areas at Block B, a jungle in the sky at Block C, and the first-of-its-kind Sky Beach at Block D. All these facilities are available within their home compound in Verve® Suites Mont’Kiara.”

Much emphasis and thought have been put into the landscaping of this project. BKP senior manager of landscaping Nicole van den Steenhoven ensures that no stone is left unturned.

“During the designing stage, we address the needs of people who will be staying at the project. We always try to find out what they want and then create possibilities. The design must be malleable and our satisfaction is seeing residents enjoying the space that we have created,” Van den Steenhoven said.

Verve Suites Mont’Kiara, which offers fully-furnished serviced suites, was fully sold with the last tower handed over to owners in December last year. BKP is now extending the Verve living concept with its new project called Verve Suites KL South, which will be available for preview soon, according to the developer.

The MLAA Awards have been held since 2007. This time, ILAM received more than 80 entries for six categories of awards.
